Final work
“Ink Emotion Masks”
About this project, a mask that shows the user’s emotions. By using Spark AR I wanted to create a special effect, an effect that could be displayed by the expressions of the person under the mask. Using a special mask with a full electronic screen or two rectangular electronic screens on the outside, this electronic screen will use different emojis to show the expressions of the user under the mask. The emoji used for the electronic screen can be used in many ways. For example, by using this method it allows others to understand and see the user’s emotions more quickly, by using simple, concise individual emojis to show directly how the user is feeling. Another way of showing this is through a combination of several emojis, or through another source I researched, the Rorschach test, also known as the ink test, which tests a person’s personality with a simple single color irregular shape. It seems to me that this simple graphic can also be used to show people’s current emotions, and the graphic itself is as elusive as people’s expressions originally were. These are ways to make people think about what the user’s expression is right now, and I believe this allows for a deeper communication.
This project, Ink Emotion Masks, attempts to show how people connected and in the covid-19 period. The idea first This project, Ink Emotion Masks, attempts to show how people connected and in the covid-19 period. The idea first came from a real life experience. More than once during the years of the epidemic I envisioned the expressions of people underneath the masks, which were like masks that masked a person’s true self and made me want to understand the changing feelings. And I hope that people will reflect on one thing in light of this work. Is the expression shown in a mask any less fake than the expression on people’s real faces? Is it that people need something to help them express their emotions to others?
